Searching for old records in Luzerne County, PA is now a lot easier.
Searchers can view deeds from 1907 to 1967 using the IQS Infodex system—without knowing the book and page numbers.
Infodex digitizes traditional index books, making them searchable by name.
Mary Dysleski, who oversees deeds, tells the Times Leader that the records have significance to local history buffs and people doing genealogy research.
“I’m sure a lot of people will use this for their own information and curiosity,” Dysleski told the newspaper.
When the project is completed, index books dating back to the County’s formation in 1786 will be available.
